Haojun (Holly) Zhao

Haojun (Holly) Zhao

Haojun (Holly) Zhao (she/her/hers) is a PhD student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her B.S. and M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University.

Before joining UT Austin, Holly worked as a research associate at the University of California, San Francisco in the Department of Neurology, where she developed pipelines for processing and analyzing MRI data in patients with multiple sclerosis.

Holly joined the Dynamic Medical Image and Computing (DMIC) Lab in Fall 2025. Her current research focuses on developing machine learning and computational modeling approaches for pulmonary CT imaging, with an emphasis on lung anatomy, respiratory motion, and regional function.
