Nina Valle Nina Valle (she/her/hers) is a Ph.D. Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, where she is also pursuing a Graduate Portfolio in Pharmacoengineering. She earned her B.S. in BME from UT Austin in 2024, with minors in Italian and Portuguese. Her research interests lie at the intersection of neuroengineering, biomaterials, and drug delivery, with a particular focus on developing therapeutic strategies for neurological disorders. Co-advised by Dr. Edward Castillo and Dr. Stephanie Seidlits, Nina conducts her experimental work in the Seidlits Lab, where she uses conductive biomaterials to investigate how electrical stimulation influences neuronal differentiation and neural network maturation. In the DMIC Lab, her work integrates computational optimization and modeling with experimental approaches to better understand how electrical cues can be tailored to promote functional neural development across different neural disease states. Ultimately, she hopes to leverage these approaches to contribute to the development of new therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative diseases. Email: ninavalle@utexas.edu
