Debarghya Chaki (he/him/his) is an undergraduate Biomedical Engineering (BME) major at the University of Texas at Austin. He is an EMT, and has extensive clinical and event medicine experience. He is also involved in triage volunteering, as well as many campus wide health and safety programs. Debarghya has a prior background in cellular biology and vaccine development research from his position at the Global Health Research Complex at Texas A&M University.
In Dr. Castillo’s lab, he works on machine learning based cardiothoracic CT and echocardiogram research for monitoring disease progression and diagnostic purposes to aid clinicians.
