During her time at UT, Faith has been active in the department, volunteer teaching at a local prison through TPEI, serving as student chair to advocate for and address students’ needs, and participating in the CLD working group and ethnography lab. In her dissertation research, she ethnographically studies the commercial bail system to understand how family members, particularly women relatives, are made responsible for getting their defendant-kin to appear in court and managing any resulting repercussions that arise at home. Faith recently defended this project, which won the best dissertation prize at UT. In Fall 2024, she will begin her career as an assistant professor at UCLA.
