The Luminators or Functional Materials Stream is a research lab in the Freshman Research Initiative.  To work in the lab and earn research credit, students typically begin as FRI admitted students during their fall (first) semester and get sorted during Stream Sort into our lab for their second (spring) semester.  Students can join the lab if there is room by being added to the wait list or by joining the Accelerated Research Initiative (ARI) if they did not participate in FRI as freshmen.
