Lívia Trippe Nagaoka Gonçalves

I am an international visiting student in the Gore Lab. I earned a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences (2023) from São Paulo State University in Brazil. My graduate research focuses on the toxicological and reproductive effects of low-dose exposure to N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) in male and female rats.

At the Gore Lab, I am interested in investigating how exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) affects reproductive function and sperm biology through interactions among the genome, epigenome, and environmental factors. I am particularly interested in understanding how environmentally induced changes in sperm may influence health and reproductive outcomes across subsequent generations.

Outside the lab, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and seeking out new experiences and opportunities to learn. Although my time in the Gore Lab is temporary, I’m sure the knowledge, mentorship, and experiences I gain here will stay with me throughout my career.
