Max Malinak

My name is Max Malinak! I’m a senior undergraduate psychology major here at UT. My academic interests include Psychopharmacology, serotonin research, and endocrinology. In The Gore lab, I work under Tyler Milewski, PhD, looking at the behavioral and epigenetic changes caused by Endocrine-disrupting chemical exposure in rodent models. I am currently working on my psychology honors thesis looking at Endocrine-disrupting chemicals exposure’s role in oxytocin gene expression in these animal models.

I found my passion for research while working at The Gore Lab, and plan to continue my studies through a PhD program somewhere in the Northwest, as I am a nature lover at heart.

My love of the outdoors, mainly backpacking and camping, feeds my passion for environmental science and biology. I also enjoy sports like golf and archery, as well as reading, writing, and spending time with my family in Houston.
