C.D. McAdams

My name is C.D. McAdams and I am an undergraduate volunteer in the Gore Lab, working under Emily Hilz, PhD . I am currently a junior at UT Austin, pursuing a B.S.A. in Neuroscience through the Polymathic Scholars Program, along with a B.A. in Plan II Honors. I am particularly interested in how female reproductive hormones influence behavior, as well as the neural mechanisms underlying these effects– I just think it’s the coolest. I was exposed to the extensive issue of EDC exposure, both in animals and humans, in a class I took freshman year: Environmental Chemicals and Human Health with Dr. Jules Elkins. It opened my eyes to how sensitive our reproductive biology is to environmental disruptors, and I am so excited to be a part of Dr. Gore’s lab and a team of scientists studying these issues. Outside of lab and class you’ll catch me participating in student theater, at a co-op meeting, or on a run.
