Health Survey of Texans: A Focus on Sexual Assault Experiences (2003)

This was the first sexual assault prevalence study conducted by IDVSA. In an effort to determine the number of individuals who have experienced sexual assault, IDVSA conducted phone interviews with 1,200 adult Texans. In 2003, this study found that 13% of adult Texans had been assaulted at some point.
