2022 Research Experience for Teachers Program

The CISTAR Center at the University of Texas at Austin is hosted a Research Experience for Teachers Program in the Summer of 2022. Over the 5.5 weeks, the teachers were able to get hands-on research experience working with graduate student and faculty mentors. The participants also participated in personal and professional development workshops and seminars around engaging students in STEM and engineering thinking.

One of the deliverables of the program was to develop a research-based piece of curriculum aligned with the 9-12 curricula, engaging students in applying their learning to real-word problems, producing scientific results & presenting your research, and gaining critical tools to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
