rebal Rebal Jurdi
Rebal Jurdi received the Bachelor of Engineering with High Distinction in Computer and Communications Engineering in 2013 from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2017 from the University of Texas at Austin, where he is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree. In the past, he has worked as a digital systems and modem engineer for Ubilite, Inc., and has held summer internships at NEC Corporation in Kawasaki, Japan, Qualcomm Inc. in Santa Clara, CA, and Nokia Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ.
ahmad Ahmad AlAmmouri
Ahmad AlAmmouri is a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, jointly supervised by Prof. Jeffrey Andrews and Prof. François Baccelli. He received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, in 2016, and his B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, in 2014. He has held summer internships at Samsung Research America in 2017 and 2018. His research interests include statistical modeling and performance analysis of wireless networks.
Ethan Yuqiang Heng (Ethan)
Yuqiang Heng (Ethan) is currently working towards his M.S and PhD at University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Rice University with magna cum laude in 2017. His research interests lie mainly in the intersection between machine learning and wireless communication.
Manan Manan Gupta
Manan Gupta is currently working towards his M.S and PhD at University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering. He received his B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati in 2017. His research interests are broadly in the field of wireless communication and information theory.
Eren Balevi
Eren Balevi is currently working as a post-doctoral fellow in the University of Texas at Austin in the wireless networking and communications group. He received his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D degree from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. He worked as an instructor and a post-doctoral fellow in the Electrical Engineering Department of University of South Florida in 2017. His current research interests lie mainly in the intersection between machine learning, stochastic geometry and the general areas of 5G wireless systems and the Internet of Things. He is also interested with the general areas of molecular communications and fog/edge networking.
Ezgi Tekgul
Ezgi Tekgul is currently working towards her M.S and PhD at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She received her B.Sc. degree in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department (with minor in Economics) from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in June 2018. Her research interests lie mainly in the intersection between wireless communication and machine learning. She is also interested in molecular communications.
Akash Doshi
Akash Doshi is currently working towards his M.S and PhD at University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering. He received his B.Tech (with Honors) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in 2018, with a Minor in Computer Science. His research interests lie mainly in the intersection between wireless networks and machine learning.
Jacob Winick
Jacob Winick is a M.S. / Ph.D student at the University of Texas at Austin, jointly supervised by Prof. Jeff Andrews and Prof. Sriram Vishwanath. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2016. Jacob’s research interest is primarily in the application of machine learning to wireless communications. He has previously interned at Astranis (2017), Apple (2015), Microsoft (2014), and MIT Lincoln Laboratory (2013) in various different EE disciplines. In his free time, Jacob is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys skiing, cycling, and climbing.
Amodh Saxena
Amodh Kant Saxena is currently working towards his PhD degree as part of Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Texas at Austin. He is jointly advised by Prof. Jeffrey Andrews and Prof. Robert W. Heath Jr. He completed his Master of Science from University of California, Irvine, in 2017 and Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, in 2015. He is interested in working on Low Resolution Signal Processing and its applications in the area of Wireless Communication. In his free time, he is interested in pursuing the art of movie making, singing and reading history books.
