SPRINT Cancer Genomics at Kowalski-Muegge Lab
Sprint. A sprint is a one-day event bringing teams of undergraduate students together to work on wicked problems (a problem with innumerable causes and no single solution) for insights powered by diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
Problem Description. At this sprint, you will learn about how the type and kind of molecular data that is collected, analyzed, and visualized is used to inform on molecular targeted therapies in cancer. A case will be presented for you to ideate in teams to identify key questions to ask of the data, how they should be analyzed, and what their implications may be for treatment. The day will wrap up with each team sharing their ideas in a mock-up, student molecular tumor board.
