Alumnae Peer Support Group
- The Alpha Home Alumnae Association is a peer support group comprised of individuals who have been clients in one of the programs at Alpha Home. This group meets every Tuesday at 7:00 PM for 2 hours on the Alpha Home campus and is open to any former Alpha Home client and current Alpha Home participants. The primary purpose of this group is to promote connection with other women in recovery and inspire hope. Members of the group give and receive encouragement and assistance to achieve long term recovery. Peers offer emotional support, share knowledge, teach skills through role-modeling, and provide practical assistance.

The group is interactive, and participants are encouraged to ask questions and introduce topics important to them. At least once a month, a speaker is invited to present to the group. Past presentations include speakers from Oxford Homes, Freed Texas, Domestic Violence Alliance, and others. This group educates, inspires, and assists participants to build relationships in the community and with one another.
Individual Support
- Each IHCP staff member carries an individual caseload of participants. These participants are given an Assessment of Recovery Capital (ARC) upon enrollment to assess positive internal and external personal and social resources that can be drawn upon to initiate and sustain recovery. Bi-weekly check ins are conducted with participants that include individual recovery planning, mentoring, and support. The IHCP recovery coaches aid in multiple ways including emotional support, informational and concrete assistance, and contact with other peers to promote learning of social/recreational skills.
