Intervention and/or Curriculum
Choices and Consequences Curriculum
Choices and Consequences covers topics such as: anger management, managing stress, alcohol and drug misuse, affects drugs and alcohol has on the brain, maintaining a positive attitude. Choices and Consequences curriculum will be 3 sessions (one per week) for 1 hour each or a 3-hour session.

Peer Support Groups with Alternative Sessions
- Two peer support group sessions with one alternative session
- Financial Literacy Class with financial expert. We will cover the essentials on how to successfully steer your financial situation in the right direction and prevent negative financial decisions. From understanding types of bank accounts, budgeting and spending wisely, to setting financial goals. The financial expert will help with practical ways to create financial independence, build your credit, and save for the future. This class is held weekly for one-hour. Individuals are encouraged to attend at least twice a month but there is no timeframe of group.
- A Licensed Professional Counselor covers topics such as self-esteem, relationships, boundaries, trauma, anger management, family dynamics, anxiety and depression, healthy coping skills, and healing childhood wounds. These sessions are designed to help you understand yourself, your relationships, and navigate life being true to yourself and finding joy in your purpose. The floor is open for questions and meaningful dialogue. This group is held weekly for one-hour. Individuals are encouraged to attend at least twice a month but there is no timeframe of group.
- Alternative sessions: We provide a variety of fun and relaxing activities such as game and movie nights, arts, and crafts, as well as classes with professional instructors for workout activities, cooking healthy meals and much more. The purpose of these classes is to help you unwind from the stress of daily life, learn new hobbies and skills, and connect with other young people who are learning to do life. These are held bi-weekly alternating between the activities.

“Healing Centered” Transition Plan
Individualized Transition Plan that allows each participant to reach their goals, which vary with each participant. Through discussion and intense case management they have goals of saving money, counseling, stable housing, mental health evaluations, substance use treatment, gaining and maintaining employment. The Transition Plan will be used and expanded on until the participant ages out of the program or chooses to leave.

- Underserved young adults impacted by COVID-19 and experiencing stress and trauma. ETCADA will provide screenings, assessments, case management, recovery, and prevention services. Through initial assessments and screenings staff will be able to address individual needs and barriers. Creating a Healing Centered transition plan that supports the overall wellbeing of each individual.
