Erin (she/her) will be starting her third and final year of a dual Master’s program at UT Austin in the Fall, pursuing degrees in Social Work and Public Affairs. Erin previously worked with youth experiencing homelessness through a Rapid Rehousing program. There, she saw firsthand the need for diversion from incarceration for people struggling with mental health, disabilities, and addiction. Erin’s field placement this past year was providing victims’ services counseling at the District Attorney’s Office, where she gained more exposure to the Texas criminal justice system. Erin is passionate about mixed methods research and how it can bridge the gap between social work and policy.
