The Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health (TIEMH) has collaborated with the Texas Education Agency to develop a Texas School Climate Survey Suite. These climate tools are intended to support Texas education entities to measure and track school climate from the perspective of students, family members, and staff.
Stronger Connections Grantees
TIEMH has collaborated with the Texas Center for Student Supports, housed within ESC 16, to implement these tools and develop additional supportive resources for the Stronger Connections Grant awardees. Districts participating in the Stronger Connections grant are collecting school climate data between October 1, 2024 and November 22, 2024. The following provides key resources for your school climate measurement and improvement activities. Please check back for additional resources.
Texas School Climate Guide (download here) – This guide provides district school climate coordinators with steps for planning school climate data collection, as well as training resources and sample letters and scripts for coordinating with the campus lead.
District Lead Training (video link) – This 30-minute training provides guidance to District Coordinators to support the planning and implementation of school climate data collection.
District Lead Training Slides (download here) – Slides from the District Coordinator training video are available to teams as an additional resource.
