Prof. Raja has an established research program with a strong focus on computational modeling and simulation of non-equilibrium plasma discharges. The basic software infrastructure for enabling his research is in place, including grid generation and pre-processing, solver technology, and post-processing including visualization. Much of Prof. Raja’s research is conducted on several high-end workstations. Current effort includes developing parallel-versions of the plasma and flow solver using distributed memory cluster machines. Development and testing is done on multiprocessor, multicore machines available in Prof. Raja’s lab. Production runs are performed using parallel computing facilities available at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), of the University of Texas at Austin.
