The Ray Marshall Center has published two reports evaluating local workforce development services in Travis County. In the first report, Rapid Employment Model Evaluation – 2011 Update , Tara C. Smith, Christopher T. King and Daniel Schroeder present the fourth evaluation in a series of the county’s Rapid Employment Model workforce development demonstration that combines short-term occupational and pre-employment/life skills training with structured job assistance. The same authors produced a second report entitled Local Investments in Workforce Development: 2011 Evaluation Update which evaluates workforce development services ranging from basic adult education, to short- and long-term occupational skills training in Travis County.
