In the new report Identifying Gaps and Setting Priorities for Employment and Training Research, authors Carl Van Horn of the Heldrich Center and Christopher King and Tara Smith of the Ray Marshall Center review findings from workforce development research funded by the U.S. Departments of Labor, Education, and Health and Human Services, as well as by major foundations. The authors also recommend research topics that should be given high priority in the coming years. Over 665 stakeholders from state and local workforce agencies, researchers, and practitioners, as well as a 20-member National Expert Advisory Panel contributed to the report via an online survey. This report was supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration.
