UT nursing alumnus Norine Yukon, former CEO of United Healthcare Community Plan of Texas, will speak at the School of Nursing on November 11th from 12 to 1 pm.
Following 10 years in an inpatient setting, her nursing career took some paths less traveled. Aside from holding a top leadership position, she has lectured at universities in Texas, Arizona and New Jersey, and has been appointed by several Governors to various task forces, advisory committees and transition teams for health and human services. She currently serves on the Austin Meals on Wheels board of directors, the pier committee for Core Health Foundation and The University of Texas School of Nursing advisory council. Ms. Yukon was the convocation speaker at The University of Texas School of Nursing graduation in fall 2013.
