40 Hours for the Forty Acres is right around the corner and we need YOUR HELP on April 3rd and 4th to surpass last year’s fundraising total of $43,000 – imagine the support and visibility you could garner for your favorite area of Nursing in less than two days!
What is the 40 Hours for the Forty Acres? It is an annual, university-wide, fundraising campaign. During these 40 hours, we want the TEXAS Nursing community to use their collective social media voice to crowdsource funding for five key areas within the School of Nursing: LEAP, The Wellness Clinics, Student Services, Student Lounge Renovation Fund, and the Area of Greatest Need.
How can you help? Volunteers are primarily needed to Staff Donation Tables in the School’s lobby on Wednesday, April 3rd & Thursday, April 4th. 1-hour shifts are available each day from 8am – 5pm. You will help encourage fellow students, faculty, and staff to support the School of Nursing by making a gift online, by check, or by cash. Volunteers may also choose to be a Social Media Ambassador by sharing our donation link, photos, and messages throughout this 40-hour campaign.
Click the sign-up link HERE to take you to our donation table volunteer Doodle poll. Email Amber Shah at ashah@nursing.utexas.edu to become a School of Nursing social media ambassador.
Let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas regarding this project. We’re excited to work with you!
