Join Campus Events + Entertainment AAC and ADPAC for this year’s You Bring Out the Asian American in Me (YBO). This event showcases a speakers experinces as an Asian American in the entertainment industry. This year, YBO is focusing on mental health awareness with headliner, Kristina Wong! Kristina is a solo comedian who strives to use humor to convey difficult topics to her audience. She will be performing an excerpt of her original skit “Wong Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” which discusses mental health issues affecting Asian American women. A Q&A session and meet and greet will follow after the event.
The event will take place in Shirley Bird Perry Ballroom on Friday, September 6, 2019. Doors open at 5:30pm with the event beginning at 6:00 pm. YBO is entirely FREE for all UT Students with a valid UT ID plus one guest.
Prior to the event there will be an organization fair, beginning at 4:00 pm in the ballroom. This is a great opportunity for students who seek interest in Asian and Asian American clubs and organizations on campus. Students who attend teh org fair will receive a Free shirt (while supplies last).
