The lab is in great need of standardized patients for the N157P vascular simulation. Please consider help out our students for a few hours, this instructional simulation helps students safely practice various skills and communication. The link to the sign-up is below. This is also an opportunity for school faculty, alumni, and staff to develop better understanding of our students learning processes and experiences during their time here.
It will soon be time for our Nursing Students to begin their Vascular Simulation Experience, which also means we need Volunteer’s to portray a patient and/or a family member.
The Vascular Simulation helps educates our student’s on the importance of focusing on the needs and care of individuals and their families with known or at risk for vascular disease.
The simulated scenarios help improve students’ competence and confidence to provide care for patients with varied vascular conditions.
Students will be challenged to assess and monitor patient conditions and to respond with the appropriate treatment.
Volunteers create a realistic hospital experience for the student while performing the simulation.
A script will be provided prior to the simulation and orientation will take place in the Sim Lab – Room NUR 4.106
