On January 7, the Libraries launched a new search tools system. This system replaced our single search box on the Libraries home page, the Library Catalog, the Journals search, the Articles & More search and your library account. You can read more about the changes here and learn about the in-depth features of the new system in our help guide.
There are a few things to know right away.
- A library account that includes all items checked out to you already exists in the new system.
- If you had lists in your old library account, you can rebuild them in your new library account. Instructions are available on the help guide under Your Library Account.
- All library services that had been temporarily suspended during the transition are now back up and running.
- If you had links to library resources in your course pages, syllabi or elsewhere, you will need to rebuild them. Instructions are available on this guide.
- Any LibGuides that have links to records in the former library catalog will now redirect to the search screen for the new library catalog. Please bear with us as we manually update the links.
- If you requested a purchase before the transition, please bear with us as we work through the backlog. We were unable to place purchase requests for several weeks during the transition.
- We are working on course reserves but you may see a delay in when they are available because reserves work could not commence until January 7.
If you have questions or concerns, please let me know.
Cheers,
