QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Duties Summary: Administers therapeutic measures as prescribe by the physicians such as medications. Treatments, intravenous fluids, blood transfusions, nasogastric tubes and other diagnostic interventions. Observes, assesses and stabilizes critically ill pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient’s health status. Interviewing patient and family members and reviewing patient’s health history and on-going hemodynamic monitoring. Interprets data obtained from observations, examination, monitoring and lab values. Operates and monitors specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors, volume respirators, EKG machines, cardiac monitors, defibrillator, etc.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. For positions requiring positive education requirements, or if you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you MUST submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume.
YOU MUST MEET ALL THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS LISTED BELOW:
Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
Licensure/Registration: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or Applicants must have active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
GS-07 thru GS-10 Salary Range: $55,946 to $78,721 Per Annum, includes 13% of Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus), Transportation of Household Goods and Housing of One-Two-Three single and duplexed bedrooms in a walking distance.
The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain any licensure requirements. If privileges are not obtained or maintained during employment, the employee will be subject to adverse actions, up to and including removal from Federal service. You also must have a favorable background adjudication before and during employment.
