Camp Longhorn Pit Stop positions open

The Camp Longhorn “Pit Stop” is the camp infirmary. It is staffed each term by Registered Nurses and nursing students/assistants. The general duties of Pit Stop are as follows:

1. Perform physical assessments
2. Administer basic first aid treatment
3. Administer camper’s personal medication with RN supervision
4. Administer PRN’s
5. Administer allergy shots if required
6. Perform clinical housekeeping duties
7. Perform general nursing interventions
8. Perform clinical bookkeeping duties
9. Interact with the campers and counselors
10. Perform basic “in patient” care

*Nursing School:

Semester: 1-week 2-weeks 3-weeks

Pre Nursing: $200 $400 $600

PJ1: $210 $420 $630 (completed J1 semester)

PJ2: $225 $450 $675 (completed J2 semester)

PS3: $245 $490 $735 (completed S1 semester)

PS4: $ 260 $520 $780 (completed S2 semester)

*In addition to these amounts, your pay will increase based on your grade each term. Staff members are graded, and the grade has a monetary incentive. For example, an “A” will give you an additional $40.00 bonus per week! In addition, you will receive a term bonus.

Pay includes room, board, laundry, meals, education, sun, and fun!

Inks Lake & Indian Springs: 

• First Term: Sun June 5th – Sat June 18th
• Second Term: Sun June 19th -Sat July 9th
• Third Term: Sun July 10th- Sat Jul 30th
• Fourth Term: Sun July 31st – Sat Aug 13th

C3 on Inks Lake:

• First Term: Sun June 5th – Sat June 18th
• Second Term: Sun June 19th – Sat June 25th
• Third Term: Sun June 26th -Sat July 2nd
• Fourth Term: Sun July 3rd -Sat July 9th
• Fifth Term: Sun July 10th – Sat July 23rd
• Sixth Term: Sun July 24th- Sat July 30th
• Seventh Term: Sun July 31st – Sat Aug 6th
