TechANS Lab

April 14, 2019, Filed Under: Lead Story

Welcome to the TechANS Lab

About the Lab

The TechANS lab was founded in 2021 under the leadership of Drs. Jared Benge and Robin Hilsabeck, clinical neuropsychologists at the University of Texas Dell Medical School Department of Neurology at UT Health Austin Mulva Clinic for Neurosciences Comprehensive Memory Center. The lab is dedicated to understanding how technology can be used to understand and improve the day to day functioning of those with neurocognitive symptoms.

Our “big questions” include:

  • How can we train individuals with memory and other cognitive problems to use technology to improve these symptoms?
  • How can we leverage technology to promote accurate diagnosis and treatment planning?
  • How can technology be leveraged to improve the assessment of day to day functioning in those with cognitive decline?
  • Can we develop technological reserve to protect, improve, and sustain the cognitive health of older adults?

The TechANS Lab is part of the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences.
