Members of the community engagement team discuss masculinity, what defines “toxic masculinity” in the context of contemporary society, the Enron scandal and and the impact of the storyteller in Lucy Prebble’s ENRON.
Assistant professor of Educational Pscyhology, Dr. Michael Pruitt, artistic engagement strategist, Jess O’Rear and interactive theatre specialist, Amissa Miller (Voices Against Violence) discuss themes of toxic masculinity, power and gender in contemporary corporate culture and Enron, outlining the importance of recognizing the impact of these power differences and the significance of the storyteller as a means to better understand those often most impacted by certain toxic expressions.
