Meet the cast of Community Garden, one of our five UTNT (UT New Theatre) productions of the spring 2021 semester. In just a week, these ladies will be performing in a virtual reading of M.F.A. in Playwriting candidate Renae Simone Jarrett’s script, providing audiences with the chance to enjoy the rich language and storyline that she created. Join them for a meditation on self-searching, sacrifice and that lovely glow you get when you feast on the fruits that grow from the graves of dead husbands.
Community Garden boasts a talented cast of Texas Theatre and Dance students, including Carina Ramirez (Belle), Julia Salazar (Cammie), Chloe Whitehead (Alex) and an appearance by Aria Morgan. The all-female cast also features guest artist Carla Nickerson (Colleen).
Later in the semester, the team is planning to realize a limited-capacity in-person performance of Community Garden at the UT Microfarm which, due to safety concerns, will be for Theatre and Dance community members and invited guests only. This production will feature the collaboration of a stellar creative team, including Alyssa Finger (Lighting Designer), Justine Gelfman (Dramaturg), Jeff Grapko (Technical Director), Renae Simon Jarrett (Playwright), Kristen Osborn (Director), Court Rogers (Costume Designer), Alex Titsworth (Sound Designer) and Rachel Aston Warren (Stage Manager).
