Summer Highlight: 2024 International Theatre for Young Audiences Research Network Conference

This May, Roxanne Schroeder-Arce, Associate Dean of UTeach Fine Arts, along with UTeach Theatre Alumnus Mateo Hernandez and other UT Austin graduate students, traveled to Havana, Cuba, to attend 2024 ITYARN, International Theatre for Young Audiences Research Network Conference: Voices of a New World.

As part of a working group on SUSTAINABILITY AND POSSIBILITIES, Schroeder-Arce presented her work: Impact of Smartest Girl in the World on its Performers: University Play Production as an Applied Art, and Hernandez presented: Form Over Content: Invoking Queer Sensibilities in Plays for Young Audiences. The conference was a fantastic opportunity to share with others in Fine Arts Education and experience culture and country.
