UTeach Dance students and faculty attended the Texas Dance Educator’s Association (TDEA) on January 8-11, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Students, alumni, faculty, and field supervisors participated in multiple events over the four days. Events included a Collegiate Fair, where high school conference attendees asked and learned from current UTeach Dance students about the program and UT Dance Team. Everyone was engaged in professional development, and student teachers had many opportunities to network with alums and other dance educators from across the state. A highlight of the event was the TDEA banquet, where dance educators celebrated new beginnings. Additionally, Denise Cochran (UTeach Fine Arts Advisory Council member and UTeach Dance Field Supervisor) was inducted into the TDEA Hall of Fame, the highest honor bestowed by the organization.
