We are thrilled to announce the resounding success of the Future of Fine Arts Education Forum! The forum took place on November 17-19th, 2024, as a collaboration between UTeach Fine Arts, The Center for Educator Development in Fine Arts (CEDFA), and The Texas Cultural Trust to bring together fine arts leaders. A huge thank you to all our incredible facilitators, keynote speaker Michael J. Bobbitt, Executive Director of Mass Cultural Council, and participants who made this event possible. Your insights, ideas, and passion for the fine arts have set the stage for a bright and innovative future.
Throughout the forum, we discussed new strategies for nurturing creativity, enhancing access to the arts, and ensuring the sustainability of fine arts in a rapidly changing world. The conversations were inspiring, and the commitment to pushing the fine arts forward was palpable.
As we look ahead, we’re excited to share that an action plan has been developed to address many of the goals and ideas raised during our discussions. This roadmap will guide us in taking concrete steps toward transforming our vision into reality—ensuring the future of fine arts education is as vibrant and innovative as ever.
Again, thank everyone who contributed their time, expertise, and passion. Together, we are shaping a future where the fine arts continue to inspire and enrich us all. Stay tuned for updates as we work toward turning our shared vision into meaningful action!
