On March 26th, the UTeach Fine Arts Advisory Council welcomed Jenny Parry from the Texas Cultural Trust for an engaging workshop on communicating the value of Fine Arts education. Jenny guided UTeach Fine Arts students through an exploration of how they, as future educators, can effectively communicate the value of the arts in their schools and communities.
During the workshop, students delved into the State of the Arts Report, a key resource that highlights the cultural, economic, and educational impact of the arts in Texas. Through engaging discussions, they considered how to use data-driven insights to support their future fine arts programs with students, parents, principals, and the broader community.
By equipping themselves with research and strategies, these soon-to-be educators are preparing to inspire the next generation and ensure that the arts remain a vital part of Texas education. Thank you, Jenny Parry, for working with us!
