Event Hightlight – UTeach Fine Arts Spring Celebration 2025

We are thrilled that the annual UTeach Fine Arts Spring Celebration was a smashing success! On April 30th, 2025, students, faculty, staff, and guests gathered at the AT&T Conference Center for an evening of joy, creativity, and recognition. The event honored the accomplishments of our graduating students and celebrated the vibrant community that defines the UTeach Fine Arts program.

Highlights included a captivating performance by Creekview High School’s folklórico dance company, followed by the presentation of the 2025 UTeach Fine Arts Outstanding Educator Award to their director, Karla Hardaway, in recognition of her impactful work in dance education.

The celebration also featured a lively set by Spiral Maze, a talented local youth band made up of musicians aged 12 to 15, who impressed the audience with their skill and energy.

In addition to recognizing our graduates, we offered a heartfelt tribute to Associate Dean Roxanne Schroeder-Arce, honoring her years of dedicated service to UT-Austin, the College of Fine Arts, and especially UTeach Fine Arts.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took part in the celebration. We wish all our graduates the very best and know you’ll all go on to make a huge difference as arts educators in Texas and beyond! Hook ’em!
