Dr. Christina Bain’s new book Ethical Decision Making in Art Education will be available Fall 2024.
The book is a new addition to the Art Education in Practice Series. It was developed to help all art educators (including practicing art teachers, museum educators, preservice students, university educators, scholars, and community educators) understand how beliefs, values, and morals form the cornerstone of ethical decision-making practice in Art Educator’s professional lives. Grounded in ethics research, this book will help readers develop ethical decision-making strategies that are crucial for practitioners.

In March 2024, Dr. Christina Bain, Associate Professor, Art Education, published a new article titled “Moving from me to we: Highlighting collaborative research in art education” in an issue of the Journal of Art Education. The article is drawn from a 2022 NAEA convention panel that Dr. Vanderlip Taylor and Dr. Bain led, highlighting collaborative research in higher education, museums, and graduate education.
