OUR MISSION
GEVIP‘s main goal is to study galaxy evolution and reionization while supporting student researchers in their work. The program brings together students from across astronomy, physics or related fields to perform research into galaxy evolution. Undergraduate students typically join as sophomores, and perform a “starter” project through their junior year, and then work on a “capstone” project of their own devising during their senior year.
GEVIP strives to be:
Multidisciplinary: drawing students from multiple disciplines.
Vertically-integrated: a mix of sophomores through PhD students.
Long-term: each undergraduate student may participate in a project for up to three years and each graduate student may participate for the duration of their graduate career.
