Ezgi Tekgul
Ezgi Tekgul is currently working towards her M.S and PhD at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She received her B.Sc. degree in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department (with minor in Economics) from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in June 2018. Her research interests lie mainly in the intersection between wireless communication and machine learning. She is also interested in molecular communications.
Nick Olson
Nick Olson is a PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He is jointly supervised by Prof. Jeffrey Andrews and Prof. Robert Heath. Nick received his B. S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada in 2019. His research interests are in wireless communications, signal processing, and information theory. He has previously held internships at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and the MITRE Corporation. In his spare time he enjoys hiking and skiing.
Eunsun Kim
Eunsun Kim is a Ph. D student in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. She worked with LG Electronics from 2005 to the first half of 2018 contributing developments and standardization of IEEE 802.11ac/af/ah and 3GPP LTE/LTE-A/LTE-pro/NR(5G). She received her MS and BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University, Korea, in 2005 and 2003, respectively. Her research interests lie mainly in wireless communication systems including vehicular and satellite communications. She is also interested in the application of machine learning to the wireless communication systems.
Ian Roberts
Ian Roberts is a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests are in the theory and implementation of millimeter-wave communication, in-band full-duplex, and communication system optimization. He received his B.S. E.E. in 2018 from Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, MO. He has held internships at GenXComm, Inc., Amazon, Sandia National Laboratories, and Dynetics, Inc. In his free time, he enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, shooting a basketball, and riding his bike.
Juseong Park
Juseong Park is a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He received the B.E. and M.E. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Korea University, Seoul, Korea, in 2019 and 2021, respectively. His research interests include MIMO, signal processing, machine learning, and its applications in wireless communications.
Taekyun Lee
Taekyun Lee is a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He is jointly supervised by Prof. Jeffrey Andrews and Prof. Hyeji Kim. Taekyun received his B. S. in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Korea in 2022. His research interests lie mainly in the intersection between wireless networks and machine learning.
Alperen Duru
Alperen Duru is currently working towards his M.S. and Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is jointly supervised by Prof. Jeffrey Andrews and Prof. Todd Humphreys. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University with summa cum laude in 2022. He has a work experience of 7 months at Aselsan Defense Industry, Turkey. His research interests lie mainly in mmWave communications and joint communication and sensing.
