LAH Alum William Hausle has an internship available with his company Write Lab in California this summer.
The internship would be paid (~$12.50/hr), though interns would be responsible for their travel and living expenses. We’re prepared to offer a full-time internship for the entire summer, but are flexible if someone would like to work fewer hours a week and leave time for classes or another job/internship. Job Description
We are looking for a writer to join our content
team, beginning as early as April, with the prospect of a paid internship over the summer. We are looking for someone who writes well under the pressure of deadlines, who is comfortable with intellectual sprints, and who can create quality prose ranging from
website copy to educational material about writing.
Our offices are conveniently located within walking
distance of UC Berkeley’s campus and the Downtown Berkeley BART Station.
Responsibilities
- Draft instructional material for the WriteLab website and software
- Draft and revise original contributions to the User’s Guide accompanying the software
- Assist in aligning site content with our pedagogical principles
- Test and edit WriteLab’s editorial suggestions
Requirements
- Ability to write clearly and efficiently
- Willingness to work with other writers and editors in a team environment
