Austin: Together we rise above mental health stigma. Join us Saturday, May 5!
Monday, November 6 at 1 PM – 4 PM
The Home and Community Based Services-Adult Mental Health (HCBS-AMH) program provides care for adults with serious mental illness, who have experienced either: extended stays in state mental health facilities, multiple arrests, or frequent emergency room visits. HCBS-AMH is the first initiative in Texas to promote recovery in adults with serious mental illness by using a comprehensive service array to ensure successful reintegration into each individual’s community of choice.
Bexar County currently has a small network of providers offering the HCBS-AMH services. We hope to support the growth of this program in Bexar County, to ensure that adults experiencing serious mental illnesses will no longer be left without comprehensive care; limited to institutional settings or only minimal crisis support. Our goal is to bring together Bexar County’s robust network of providers and offer the information they need to make the HCBS-AMH program thrive here, as it does in so many other counties across the state.
This event is open to all interested professionals and stake holders in the community, so please feel free to pass this invitation to register, along to any colleagues working in criminal justice, mental health, behavioral health and social services!
Refreshments will be offered!
