The MAMA Study consists of 4 study visits, 3 of which will take place during pregnancy and one that will take place approximately one year postpartum. Study visits will take place at the University of Texas at Austin Health Discovery Building and each visit will take up to 3 hours. Participants will be compensated up to $500 total for completing all study visits.
During study visits, participants will have anthropometric and blood pressure measurements taken, complete a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan, have their blood drawn, complete a Hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) test, complete Oral Glucose Tolerance Testing (OGTT), and have a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) inserted. When available, standard of care laboratory results relevant to the study may be requested.
