CLAVIS alumna Abigail Winograd (PhD 2015), was featured in the New York Times on July 13, 2021. She is the MacArthur Fellows Program Fortieth Anniversary Exhibition Curator at the Smart Museum of Art, University of Chicago. Winograd has spent the last four years organizing a biennial-style exhibition all over Chicago that celebrates the 40th anniversary of the “genius grant,” begun in 1981 by the Chicago-based John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
