CLAVIS doctoral alumna Abigail Winograd (Smart Museum, University of Chicago) is the co-curator, with Marta Dziewańska (Curator Kunstmuseum Bern), of Feliza Bursztyn: Welding Madness, which opened at the Muzeum Susch in Switzerland on December 18, 2021 and continues through June 26, 2022. It is the first museum retrospective of the pioneering sculptor outside of Colombia.

Bringing together 60 sculptures, films and installations as well as archival material, most of which are shown for the first time in Europe, this ambitious, career-spanning survey a highlights the artist as one of Latin America’s most outstanding artists of the 20th century.
