Lucy Quezada Yáñez, a CLAVIS doctoral candidate, will be sharing her dissertation research at two highly visible academic venues in Europe in February 2023:
Lucy will present a paper titled “Chilean Art in Two Times: Catrileo-Carrion Community and Cristian Inostroza” in the conference Archive vitale de la revolte. Esthetiques dissidentes de l’Octubre Chileno at the Aix Marseille University and Grenoble Alpes University, in partnership with Chilean institutions. This multi-day, multi-city conference, from 1/18/2023-1/24/2023 in Marseille and Grenoble, France, will convene leading scholars of Chilean art and culture.
She will also present a paper titled “The Institute of Latin American Art in Chile: Art, Politics, and Networks of Collaboration” in the seminar Costellazioni connesse. Tempi, spazi e visualita della solidarieta internazionale con il Cile at Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck-Institut fur Kunstgeschichte in Rome, Italy. This is a one-day event on 2/2/2023 at which Lucy is the key speaker.
