CLAVIS PhD Candidate Chasitie Brown was awarded a 12-month Ittleson Fellowship from the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts (National Gallery of Art, Washington), to continue her dissertation research on Queloides, a pivotal series of exhibitions of Afro-Cuban art in Cuba and the US.
The Ittleson Fellowship is intended for the advancement and completion of a doctoral dissertation in the visual arts in a field other than European or American art. Read more about the fellowships here.
