International Emerging Scholars Forums (2009-2012)

Between 2009 and 2012, CLAVIS hosted a series of three International Emerging Scholars Forums with the following themes:

  • Synchronicity: Contacts and Divergences in Latin American and U.S. Latino Art, 19th Century to the Present (2012)
  • Art <–> Archive: Latin American and Beyond from 1920 to the Present (2010)
  • Transnational Latin American Art: From 1950 to the Present (2009)

These multi-day conferences were organized in partnership with Institute for Studies on Latin American Art; Southern Methodist University; Instituto de Altos Estudios Sociales, Universidad Nacional de San Martín; Escola de Comunicação e Artes, Universidade de São Paulo; Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México; University of Essex; Universitat de Barcelona;University of the Arts, London; Fundación PROA; Fundación Espigas; and Fundación Cisneros.
