The Compound Flood Lab advances science and solutions for complex flood risks—ranging from flash floods and riverine floods to storm surge and high tide events. Our work integrates machine learning, physics-based modeling, and remote sensing to understand how interconnected flood hazards affect both infrastructure and communities. By combining multi-hazard simulation, vulnerability analysis, and adaptation strategies, we aim to inform decision-making across engineering, public health, and emergency management. Our mission is to build resilience through data-driven, human-centered approaches that address the full spectrum of flood impacts in a changing world.
