Prof. Wang has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the American Automatic Control Council (AACC) with 9 member societies including AIAA, AIChE, ASCE, ASME, IEEE, INFORMS/APS, ISA, SCS, and SIAM.

He will serve in this capacity for the next four years.

The July/August 2025 issue of IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine features a comprehensive introduction of the MSL!

Prof. Wang published a Featured Article, “Human-Centric Personalization of Ground Vehicle Control and Automation Systems,” which highlights some recent advancements and their transformative potentials in ground transportation and mobility systems at ASME Dynamic Systems and Control Division Winter 2024 Newsletter.

MSL currently has several funded positions for motivated Ph.D. students to conduct inter-disciplinary research on autonomous driving and robotic systems.  Students with M.S. degrees and interests in AI/ML and/or controls are encouraged to directly contact Prof. Junmin Wang.

Prof. Wang received the 2024 ASME Charles Stark Draper Innovative Practice Award from ASME Dynamic Systems and Control Division (DSCD).  The Draper Award biennially recognizes a DSCD member for either excellent sustained contributions or for an outstanding major, singular contribution in innovative applications of dynamic systems, measurement, or control in engineering practice.
