Consider setting up Direct Deposit for yourself.  Even if you aren’t working at UT or applying for any scholarships right now, this will streamline things for you when you do win a scholarship. And we have another essay contest coming up soon for Freshman and Sophomores – so be optimistic and save Barbara the trouble of chasing you down so she can process your award!

Here is how to set up Direct Deposit:

Start by going into UT Direct:  https://utdirect.utexas.edu/utdirect/index.WBX
Select:
·     Personal Info

o   Full Category Listings
o   My Bank Info

You’ll need to enter your bank name, account number and bank routing number (that’s the other number on your check/deposit slip besides your account number.  If you don’t have that handy, your bank webpage may show it or just phone them).
