The Texas Exes, the alumni association for The University of Texas at Austin, announces the immediate opening for a part-time, non-exempt position for a Scholarships and Chapters Intern for the spring semester.
Position Overview
The Scholarships and Chapters Intern splits time between the two departments to assist in processing and distributing scholarship applications and with a recruitment initiative involving alumni and high school seniors.
Major Job Functions
- Assist scholarships department in processing and distributing scholarship applications, including but not limited to: sorting scholarship application databases; disbursing application databases to chapter leaders; scanning and organizing scholarship applications
- Assist chapters department with a recruitment initiative, including but not limited to: sorting files; sending and receiving call sheets from alumni; documenting yield results at project completion
Essential Job Requirements
- Ability to work about 15 hours/week
- Computer literacy consisting of Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Highly dependable and punctual with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize several projects at once
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- Ability to work professionally with confidential information
