This unusual and elegant engraving is from an early suelta, dated 1880, titled "Misantropía y arrepentimiento."

The Texas collection of comedias sueltas at the Ransom Center contains over 14,000 titles that provide valuable insight into Spanish literature from the second half of the seventeenth century through the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
